Streif is pleased to announce that we have become a finalist for the Structural Timber Awards for our project ‘Stoneham Park Academy’ in the category of Education Project of the Year.
This new school building is a high-quality, sustainable facility with a compact design based on ‘fabric first’ principles combined with an MVHR system to improve thermal comfort, indoor air quality (IAQ) and dramatically reduce overall energy consumption. The adoption of the Streif timber frame system was fundamental to the successful delivery of the new primary school, as manufacturing offsite allows rapid assembly onsite and achievement of critical path milestones such as water-tightness, plus dramatically reducing the number of operatives on site thereby reducing construction phase health & safety risks.
The Structural Timber Awards is the ideal opportunity for construction professionals to maximise industry exposure by demonstrating what separates them from their competitors. The winning organisations will be promoted to a national audience, giving entrants the opportunity to make their mark on this economically important market.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the Structural Timber Awards will be taking place online via a live, Virtual Awards Ceremony on 27 January 2021. Please re-visit our news posts for the results.
