Our latest project Platt CoE Primary School nr Sevenoaks in Kent is really starting to take shape now with Phase 2 works progressing seamlessly on site, as can be seen by these amazing drone shots by local photographer Scott Wishart.
Platt School is a new build 1FE primary school being built as a replacement for the existing local school. Designed by Miller Bourne Architects the new single storey building has a GIFA of 1250m2 and houses a mixture of classrooms, offices plus a large hall. As you can see from the images most of the classroom areas will have high vaulted ceilings under a monopitch roof construction with high level windows providing additional daylighting and ventilation to the classrooms creating the perfect working environment for the future pupils.
The Streif advanced closed panel walls have been designed in both horizontal and vertical format to maximise efficiency and speed of installation on site and to accommodate the monopitch roof design to areas like the hall. As always the panels come to site pre-insulated, sheathed and with windows/doors all factory installed to ensure the perfect detailing every time. We are using the SIGA Wet Guard self-adhesive membrane on the flat roof cassettes which works as a temporary VCL and means we can handover to the main contractor a fully weathered structure which will provide a good level of protection from the elements until the roofers have completed their works.
Once again we are excited to be working alongside Baxall Construction to deliver this £4.6m project for Kent County Council and the local community.
