Streif have been fortunate to become a 2020 Offsite Award finalist for Hailsham Primary School under the category of Education Project of the Year.
Hailsham Primary Academy is a new state-of-the-art primary and nursery school in Hailsham, East Sussex and will create 420 primary and nursery places to serve the north Hailsham community.
The stylish form of the building is a mixture of single and two storey elements broken up using a combination of mono-pitch and flat roof sections along the length of the building. Externally finishes of brickwork and wood effect cladding give the building a natural and harmonious feel which is offset by the pops of blue used for the external canopies, whilst internally the classrooms are light and spacious due to vaulted ceilings and high level windows creating the perfect environment for learning.
Narrowly missing out to Dreadnought Building, University of Greenwich the SECBE Award winning Hailsham Primary School was a fantastic project to work on for the whole team.
