Streif UK Achieves ISO 9001 and BOPAS Accreditation
At Streif UK, quality, durability, and reliability are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to announce that we have achieved both ISO 9001 and BOPAS accreditation, facilitated through our Procore management system. This milestone reinforces our commitment to delivering excellence in off-site manufactured construction.
ISO 9001: A Strong Foundation in Quality Management
ISO 9001 is a globally recognised Quality Management System standard that ensures robust, controlled manufacturing and business processes. It focuses on continuous improvement, consistency, and reducing defects to deliver better overall outcomes for clients.
Our ISO 9001 audit was completed in our office, where we worked closely with the auditor to demonstrate how our internal processes align with the outlined requirements. This included detailed reviews of our quality procedures and documentation, confirming that our systems consistently meet the highest quality standards.
BOPAS: Long-Term Durability for Modern Methods of Construction
BOPAS (Build Offsite Property Assurance Scheme) is a specialised accreditation designed to provide 60-year durability assurance for non-traditional construction methods. This assurance is critical in making off-site manufactured properties mortgageable, giving lenders and homeowners confidence in long-term performance.
The BOPAS audit follows a three-stage review process, assessing durability and process performance:
- Office audit
- Site audit
- Factory audit
We successfully passed both our office and site audits earlier in the year, demonstrating strong compliance across design, management, and on-site installation processes.
Final Stage: Factory Audit in Germany
The final and most intensive stage of the BOPAS assessment took place at our factory in Germany, where we recently welcomed our LRQA auditor to complete the process towards the end of 2025.
This factory audit involved a detailed and comprehensive review of our manufacturing operations. Together with our management teams, we guided the auditor through every stage of production – from meticulous material handling and controlled internal storage, through to precision cutting using advanced Hundegger CNC machinery.
The audit continued through to the production floor, where he saw UK components being manufactured using our table-to-table group process. This was a demanding and rigorous assessment, thoroughly examining the consistency, accuracy, and durability of our manufacturing methods.
