STREIF supplied the closed panel timber frame system for the new private residential dwelling Larch House.
The dwelling was designed by an architect as a self build on a small plot of undeveloped land in Brighton. Due to the nature of the site piling had to be carried out prior to the erection of the building.
The house is designed to extremely high levels of sustainability in accordance with the Local Authority requirements and so is a real low energy building which will provide the occupants with comfortable indoor temperatures in both Summer and Winter with minimal requirements for heating or cooling throughout the year.
The compact house sits well in the space looking very smart with the render and Siberian larch external finishes providing a contrasting look and the landscaping helps to create a little oasis in the middle of the city.
