Built in 2009 for the international Lindner Hotel Group, the holiday park at Nurburg next to the Formula One motor circuit was one of STREIF's largest build projects of late. The challenge was to build the 103 stylish, turn key houses commencing in March and to have the whole scheme ready for hand over and occupation before the start of the German Grand Prix in mid July.
Because of the incredibly short build phase, the project was shared with fellow offsite manufacturer WeberHaus. The co-operation agreement worked well and allowed STREIF to complete 67 houses and Weberhaus to complete the other 36 houses all within the time frame required.
With STREIF building 7,500 m² in 123 days, it equates to one square metre of fully finished building every 11 minutes! It’s a great example of how maufacturers can work together if necessary to build out large sites to a high quality finish, over a remarkably short period.
