Working alongside Baxall Construction, Streif have built this brand-new extension to Langley Park Primary Academy to compliment the existing School building.

The new extension was designed to match the existing School building with a masonry external leaf tied back to the Streif timber frame. The two-storey 995m2 extension consists of 8 classrooms, a nursery, staff room and Headteachers office in addition to an external play area and teaching space.

Using the Streif off-site manufactured timber building system, the main contractor was able to generate programme and cost savings for the client, enabling the school to take occupation earlier than originally anticipated, ahead of the summer school term.

The project was very well received by all stakeholders and the staff and School pupils were delighted with the new teaching spaces. A Bronze Award under the Considerate Constructors Scheme was also achieved by the main contractor which was no doubt assisted by the reduced number of deliveries, reduced number of trades on site and reduced duration of the construction programme, all facilitated by the use of the Streif offsite manufactured integrated building system.
