Built by Streif for a private client and designed by Joanna Jefferson Architects. Oak Trees is a two-storey modern residential home constructed on a private estate in the beautiful village of West Wittering.

With an internal floor area in excess of 326 m² this is a contemporary dwelling with a difference. The client for this project had very particular colours in mind at the design stage and it has been good to see a more adventurous palette of colours used on this project to great effect. The green window frames really sit well with the colour of the render and this is offset by the natural tones of the vertical and horizontal Siberian larch timber cladding installed by Streif.

Oak Trees was constructed using our closed panel wall which is manufactured off site with insulation, windows, and doors all factory fitted achieving U-values of less than 0.17W/m²K providing a highly energy efficient dwelling as a result. As all our timber is PEFC certified and sourced from sustainably managed forests local to our factory the Streif timber building system is a truly sustainable and low carbon solution.

Construction was successfully managed within the programmed 2 weeks, causing minimal disruption to local residents and handed over to the main contractor for final fit out.
