Built for East Sussex County Council and designed by Millerbourne Architects, Cradle Hill was another collaboration between STREIF UK and Main Contractor Baxall Construction Ltd.
The project consisted of two extensions to the existing school adding just under 1000m2 of floor space, providing a number of new classrooms, a reception, office space and much needed storage.
As we were working within the constraints of an existing site which was extremely tight on space, a lot of planning went into the logistics, including transport assessments and swept path analysis to make sure our cranes and trailers would be able to be suitably positioned to carry out safe lifting at an active school site.
STREIF completed the erection of the two extensions within the programmed seven week window and handed over to the Main Contractor for fit out in April with Practical Completion and handover to the school taking place in September of that year.
