The STREIF closed panel timber frame system was used at West Rise Infant & Junior School to construct four new wings to the existing school building for client East Sussex County Council. Once again working alongside main contractor Baxall Construction Ltd with all works being completed in 2015.

The new extensions were designed by architectural practice ECE Architecture who created a unique looking collection of buildings by using coloured Trespa panels combined with sweet chestnut timber cladding and cavity brickwork. The standout piece of the design is the colourful canopies which provide shelter for the pupils when playing outside and moving between classrooms.

The extensions are a really great addition to the school, providing exciting and bright work spaces for the children and all our works were completed in the school holidays to ensure minimal disruption to the schools operation.
