Hankham School
STREIF built a new extension to Hankham Primary School for East Sussex County Council alongside main contractor Baxall Construction Ltd in 2014 which was designed by Pick Everard.
The new extension was designed to blend with the existing school building by using similar finishing materials. The new extension included a large double height hall with mono-pitch roof and a number of auxiliary classrooms and offices. Due to the spans involved across the double-height hall large glulam beams were required to support the roof with steel fixing posts built into the wall panels below.
